spotted on notcot.org. via life.com where there's a whole gallery of two-headed animals. this (these) tiny two-headed turtle(s) is(are) kind of sweet. there are quite a few two-headed turtles. i wonder why it seems so common. snakes too. the other animals (mammals) are sad to me though.

spotted on notcot.org (via inhabitat.com). the turtle cup is one of three designed by Esin Arsan that reveal an endangered animal when the unglazed portion of the cup (in the shape of the animal) is stained by coffee or tea. cool.

riding tea time turtle

spotted on ebay while i was looking for something else. this turtle riding is more popular than i suspected.  did you know that strawberry shortcake had a little friend named apple dumplin' and that little friend had a turtle friend called tea time? i only knew about her friend orange blossom because  i received a doll as a christmas present circa 1984 from some well-meaning, uninformed relative. seriously. it never occurred to anybody that a girl would be into the a-team or transformers?

spotted at tortoise general store (there is also a store down the street called tortoise) . the website not the actual store. the store's in LA (well, Venice). it has pretty cool gear all from japan. i don't know that the iron tortoise looks so much like a tortoise but the grater is awesome. the home page says that they're donating part of sales 'til the end of the month to japan relief. i don't know if that's last month or this month.
