spotted in the rum diary trailer (1:36). are the jewels meant to be real? i suppose, if these are diamonds and rubies, i should rather say "bejeweled" than "bedazzled." i wonder how the turtle feels about it.
I'd like to point out that while this movie is awesome and everything, this is TERRIBLE for a turtle's well-being. They need their shells unobstructed so they can thermo-regulate their body temperature. This kind of thing promotes shell rot and overheating.
the turtle is sacred, its shell has 28 cycles on it...just like the solar and lunar powers.

this is one of my favorite parts of the movie. we used to have turtles. had we saw this movie, back then, i think we would now have bedazzles turtles!
